WHAT IS ECN SALES REPORTING LOGISTICS™?

For manufacturers and distributors it is very useful to know the trends of what their retailers have sold, what stock they have on hand, where the stock on hand is in the chain and what needs replacing.

Because retailers and others in the supply chain are all on different systems, getting a unified view of sales and stock on hand is difficult.

ECN Sales Reporting Logistics (ECN SRL™) solves this problem and provides a view of all sales made and all stock on hand. It does this as a trending tool not as a stock management system.

THE EFFECTS OF HAVING THIS VISIBILITY

When a distributor or manufacture has ECN SRL™ running they can see:

  • What retailers have sold (by store)
  • What is in stock at every retailer
  • What is in stock at the distributor
  • What is in transit from the manufacturer to the distributor
  • What is in transit from the distributor to the retailer
  • Reporting can be daily or any other snapshot the distributor and their retailers require (see diagram above).

HOW IT WORKS

Retailers capture information about the sales they have made in a given time period (e.g. daily) and the stock they have on hand.

Distributors capture information about the stock shipped from the manufacturers and the stock the distributors have shipped to the retailers. Retailers and distributors provide this information (either electronically via the POS system(s) or manually via a web site) and this is transferred into ECN SRL™.

ECN SRL™ takes information on any product, brand, accessory etc and organizes the data to create reports defined by the supplier / manufacturer. These reports give full and up to date visibility of all trends of sales and stock holding.

ECN SRL™ will also automatically monitor, alert, escalate and enforce the collection of data if required.
