EasyEC

EasyEC is ideal for Trade Partners who are yet to become EDI capable and a natural replacement for fax and email. EasyEC is a new and exciting web based application which is available to all ECN customers who wish to trade with Woolworths electronically. EasyEC allows Trade Partners to enjoy similar benefits to those engaged in EDI with Woolworths without the cost and complexity of a full-blown EDI deployment.

In addition to the benefits associated with EDI, EasyEC provides:

  • An alternative to the unreliable transmission of fax and email
  • Traceability of transactional documents
  • Increased security of key business information

Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)

EDI is an automated method of sending & receiving documents between Woolworths and its Trade Partners, usually this involves some integration to the Trade Partners in house business systems. EDI is exchanged via Value Added Network providers (VANs) such as ECN.

The potential benefits of engaging in EDI with Woolworths include:

  • Reduced manual intervention
  • Reduced duplication
  • Process automation
